    The title says it all

    I'm quite sure this is a unique thread, unlike a few others I've made.
    Choose anyone from ancient times to modern days.

    Personally, I love Aristotle. He was the first Logician and one of the first "scientists". While Aristotelian Logic is primitive by today's standard, we wouldn't have logic, and thus, computers, without him.
    Boolean logic and Turing depend on the accumulated knowledge of Mathematics and Logic.
